MENA CISO Summit 2018 wrapped up this edition on April 18th and 19th after four days of education, networking and exhibits.
This edition featured keynote sessions led by industry experts from the cyber security space. Mr. Sultan Omran Al-Owais, Director of Information Technology, Prime Minister’s Office- UAE and Mr. Ahmed Kajoor, Dubai Municipality delivered the special address, was one of our esteemed speakers too at the summit, followed by sessions topics and panel discussions that ranged from The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)- understanding the legal implications and the consequences of security breaches, combating cyber-attacks with blockchain technology, building a robust cyber security architecture, inclusion of artificial intelligence and machine learning in security solutions and creating a cyber-smart society and cyber security vulnerabilities in the disruptive era.
EC Council hosted top cyber security leaders in a high-profile interactive gathering. The two day summit, held at Dusit Thani Dubai provided a platform for the influencers, thought-leaders and achievers in the MENA region to collaborate in an effort to create a secure cyber space. The high level networking scaled new heights with pre-arranged meetings with solution providers. The event featured sponsors and attendee companies from the cyber security industry including: Dark Trace, Group IB, Nanjgel, DTS Solution, Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, Ministry of Education-KSA, Abu Dhabi University, Abu Dhabi Supplies & Commercial Services, Zayed University, Boubyan Bank, Orpic, Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Co, Dubai Islamic Bank, Ministry of Foreign Affairs-KSA, DAEP Bank Al Jazira.
The summit also included a four-day training program covering the C|CISO (Certified Chief Information Security Officer) and C|EH (Certified Ethical Hacker) batch. The batch was conducted by two renowned trainers Mr. Charles Chuck and Mr. Gaurav Pandya respectively.
Mr. Charles Chuck is a nationally recognised information security professional and is a former CISO for the United States Posta Service (USPS). He was formally a Chief Security Strategist at Salient GRT, a government contractor providing IT and Security services to DOD, Army, USPS, VA among other agencies.
Mr. Gaurav Pandya has over 17 years of diversified training experience in different disciplines of Service Management, Security, Project Management and IT Governance with an exposure on enterprise solutions.
